Summary of Position:

We are looking for a position

  • Conducts intake assessments for all new clients
  • Develops individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients
  • Maintains clinical documentation/records as required by Couples to Cradles Counselling Inc. and your regulatory board
  • Participate in a clinical team environment, including intake, implementation, program development and evaluation.
  • Administers best practice standards in all client sessions
  • Establishes culturally mental health services
  • Ability to utilize empirically validated, trauma informed practices and other evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Provides client with community resources and referrals, when needed
  • Provides education and support to family members of a client, when needed
  • Participates in group clinical consultation
  • Provides crisis intervention, when needed
  • Manages their own availability and schedule
  • Proficiency in Janeapp (an asset)
  • Experience providing couples therapy (an asset)
  • Experience providing workshops (an asset)
Couples to Cradles Mental Health Therapists Must Possess
  • The ideal candidate for this position would be an experienced therapist (psychologist, social worker, therapist, certified counsellor, etc); they will have a Master's degree or equivalent; they will be registered in good standing with a governing body
  • Experience in private practice a bonus
  • Perinatal Mental Health Certification is an asset (Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Trainings)
  • Most sessions will be done virtually. But we would love it if you could also provide an in-person option in an office setting of your own arrangement, as some clients prefer this approach.
  • Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, efficiency and thoroughness, focus on results, impact and influence, planning and prioritizing, and relationship building.
  • Fluency in languages other than English is an asset.
  • Expertise in a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (particularly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).
